Car Key Cutting in Southampton

A car key that sticks, wobbles or has to be jiggled is usually a cutting problem, not a lock problem. Worn keys wear the lock too, so replacing a tired blade early saves a much larger repair later.

Send your make, model, year and registration and we'll confirm what's possible for your vehicle before travelling.

We cut standard blade keys and laser-cut (sidewinder) keys to your vehicle, either copied from a good original or cut to the lock where no usable key survives.

What this covers

  • Standard blade keys copied or cut to code
  • Laser-cut / sidewinder keys
  • Replacing worn keys that stick in the barrel
  • Cutting a blade into a remote or flip-key case
  • Cutting keys as part of a lost-key or spare-key job

When people call us

  • The key has to be wiggled to turn in the door or ignition
  • The blade is bent, cracked or the tip has worn round
  • You have a fob case but no cut blade in it
  • You want a plain spare blade for emergencies

What's involved

  1. 1

    Check the key type

Registration and a photo of the existing key tell us the blade profile we need to cut.

  2. 2

    Cut to your vehicle

The blade is cut either from your original or to the vehicle's lock pattern.

  3. 3

    Programming where needed

If the key contains a chip or remote, it's programmed to the vehicle after cutting.

  4. 4

    Tested in every lock

We test doors, boot and ignition so the key turns smoothly everywhere it should.
